Dr. Gao joined the medical staff in 2015. A graduate of Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, she obtained her medical degree at Albert Einstein School of Medicine in Bronx, New York. She completed her internship at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx and her residency in radiation oncology at the University of Washington Medical Center. During the course of her education, Dr. Gao received several awards. She was the recipient of the Ruth F. Meyers Weinberg Scholarship, Principal’s Scholarship, and the Einstein Research Fellowship. Dr. Gao is board eligible in radiation oncology. She is a member of the American Society of Radiation Oncology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, American Association of Women Radiologists, and the Washington State Medical Association. She has special interests in women’s cancers including Breast and GYN malignancies, as well as patient safety and has published on the subject.
